Triathlon Coaching Course in Syria

A group of 34 coaches from Syria, Iraq, Qatar, Jordan, and Oman have assembled in the beautiful city of Damascus, Syria at the Syrian Olympic Centre to attend the 5 day ITU Competitive Triathlon Coaching Course largely supported by Olympic solidarity funding.

The course is being led by Alan Ley (ITU Sport Development) and he is joined on the teaching staff by Luc Morin of Canada.

The focus of the course is on the advancement of coaching skills, methods and triathlon specific information with the aim of developing higher performance athletes and to prepare coaches to teach junior and U-23 triathletes.

ITU’s global sponsor, BG Group, and the Triathlon federation of Syria partnered with ITU in the presentation of this course.
