ITU President Les McDonald announces ‘DOUBLE Points’ for New Plymouth World Cup Race.
Organisers of the ITU New Plymouth World Cup are delighted with the announcement by ITU President Les McDonald on the first of August that their New Plymouth race will carry ‘DOUBLE Points’. This is wonderful news for both organisers and Triathletes alike, as it is anticipated that this added bonus will be sure to encourage great interest in the final World Cup event for 2005 in New Zealand.
The prize money has also been bumped up from the World Cup standard of $75,000 dollars to $125,000.
The Gamagori World Championships, 11th September, will also be a double point event.
