I first took up triathlon in 2003; I was first introduced by one of my friends who did triathlons and invited me to a “Bring a Buddy” triathlon. The person who has had the most influence on my sporting career has been my ex-coach, Atherton Squire.
I currently train in Harare, and during a typical training week I spend seven hours swimming, eight hours biking, and four hours running. My personal best swim times (1500m) is 22 minutes, bike (40km) 77 minutes, and run (10km) is 46 minutes. I have participated in the ITU Level 1 coaching course. My favorite ITU race has been the 2009 World Championships, because it was my first time racing outside of Africa. My triathlon goals are to always show sportsmanship, and to always give 100%.
Something that the triathlon world may not know about me is that I was names Zimbabwe Junior Sportswoman on 2009. The biggest obstacle I have had to overcome is to train as hard as possible, as well pass my IB diploma.l
